Emily & Ashraf – Salmon Arm B&B Wedding in the Shuswap

Ash & Em – where to start? I had never met Emily before the wedding day, but the instant I had her on the other side of the lens I knew she could more than hold her own with Ashraf. As long as I’ve know Ash (& the rest of the family), they are a blast to hang out with. What better place to put on an incredible and romantic wedding at a stunning historic bed & breakfast in Salmon Arm in British Columbia? It’s such a perfect place to host a wedding that we didn’t even have to leave the property to do any of the shots. The garden ceremony was followed by a coffee & cake reception inside the turn of the century house. Congratulations E&A, and thank you for taking me out to the Shuswap for the weekend!

Adrea & Scott – Wedding at The Ranche in Fish Creek

Adrea & Scott are one of those couples that have such magnetic personalities that you just can’t help but like them! It was evident from the time we first met for their engagement shoot, and definitely echoed in the heartfelt speeches at their reception. Every time they look at each other they break out these amazing smiles and put forth a wonderful and positive energy. Adrea’s attention to detail is obvious in the beautiful table settings and decorations. I had a great time at their wedding and especially enjoyed the talented musicians they brought to the event. Thank you both – I loved every minute of it!

Jessica & Cody – Spring Engagement Downtown

I’m often asked how I scout for different shooting locations and why I choose the places I do. I have to admit to being drawn to the rougher areas of the city, but it often comes down to who I’ll be working with. After meeting with Jessica & Cody I had a feeling they would be game for an engagement session on the edge of the downtown core. I’d driven past the place dozens of times and always thought it would work well for a shoot. Considering how fast the city is developing, this area won’t stay like this for long. We lucked out and had the places to ourselves on a mild Sunday afternoon in April. They are a great couple and I can’t wait for their wedding later this year.

Erinn & Nathan – Candids from a winter wedding in Banff

When Erinn & Nathan first came to meet me I knew their wedding would be a wonderful experience. They told me right away that they really only wanted candid shots, nothing formal whatsoever. It was a fun change of pace and really allowed me to focus on the emotions, reactions, and little details that all went into making their wedding so special. Watching both Nathan & Erinn’s faces as she approached him coming down the aisle, it was obvious the love they share. And to top it off, instead of waiting for a traditional ‘you may now kiss the bride’, they peppered the whole ceremony with kisses. I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for these two!
